Becoming the current “darling” of mountain areas, Summit is the most convenient location to Denver, providing easy access to an international airport, shopping, and the arts. We are almost - but not quite - sold out of land, making lot purchases so much more affordable than Vail or Aspen. The baby boomers are coming in steadily to our new neighborhoods - the biggest decision they make is whether to buy for mountain views or on the golf course.
Prices held on for all of 2007, but late summer of this year both sales and prices finally began to slow. Winter is our slow season so prices are at the lowest right now. The history of our real estate ups and downs say we go after and begin to go back up before the general economy. This is an investors dream.
Foreclosures are minimal. Don't expect bottom of the barrel pricing.
